In the tradition of Larry Ivie's MONSTERS & HEROES came QUESTAR, a magazine that featured articles on sci-fi movies, and some comic-strips. Apparently it ran for 13 issues before sinking without a trace. Well, I'm here to unearth a part of this forgotten gem (Or whatever it is.)
Behind a stunning painted cover is possibly one of the most OBSCURE stories ever done by the ever-delightful and bizarre STEVE DITKO. "STAR" is another one of his patented clean-cut heroes, fighting irredeemably bad baddies. What sets this one apart from most stories I've seen from him is, he seems to have gone out of his way to concoct an epic in a mere 6 PAGES. The dialogue has been reduced to the most basic shorthand possible, giving it an air of humor that may-- or may not-- have been intentional. Enjoy!

I had no idea that Steve's work had been published in Questar. Now if I can just find the other four stories of his that were published in Questar.
