"THE LAST WAR"
SATA was a fanzine started by Dan Adkins, later taken over by Bill Pearson. It ran for 15 issues from March 1956 to February 1964, starting out focusing on science-fiction in 1956, and later began featuring comics storie by the likes of George Barr, Bob Warner, Roy Krenkel, and Larry Ivie.
I recently ran across FANAC.org,
an amazing website that has THOUSANDS of rare fanzines going back
several decades posted online for free. The scans are not necessarily
"high-res", and too many of them are posted as Adobe Acrobat PDF
files (and too many of those don't display properly on my computer).
But I was able to grab some very rare and interesting material, without
it costing me a LOT of money that I can't afford to be spending right
now to actually BUY the fanzines themselves.
Among them is the following...
"THE LAST WAR"
This is an early comics story from Larry Ivie, who I mostly know from CASTLE OF FRANKENSTEIN and his own short-lived MONSTERS & HEROES.
It
blew my mind to be able to get my hands on this and read it FOR FREE.
The scans aren't nearly as big as I'd like, but, you do what you can.
