As I mentioned last time, I finally got around to getting copies of MONSTERS & HEROES #2 & 3 on 1-8-2021, and immediately began scanning in the pages I wanted to post online.  The way it worked out, this issue was the LAST one I got around to reading!

In addition to another Altron-Boy episode, #3 also contained the first "Legends Of Asgard" story.  Like Ivie, I have a long-standing interesting in mythology, and this makes a nice addition or counter-point to Jack Kirby's "Tales Of Asgard" back-up feature in JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY / THOR over at Marvel.  Recently, I've also discovered a long-running series from Mexico, JOYAS DE LA MITOLOGIA from Novaro.  If I could read Spanish, I'd be more tempted to go after those!

Perhaps the most mind-blowing thing in this issue was a short article that talked about the ALTRON-BOY TV pilot.  That's rught-- somehow, Larry Ivie managed to get someone interested in trying to turn his still-brand-new character into a TV series.  I wonder how many TV pilots went unsold that were actually as good or better than shows that succeeded in getting onto the air?  The mind boggles.

The cover, between the design and the color-scheme, is probably my single FAVORITE piece of art by Larry Ivie.  What a gorgeous eyeful!
