Poe 1945, Pt. 2

(Continued from Poe 1945, Pt. 1)

YELLOWJACKET COMICS  6
Famous Tales Of Terror  /  "THE TELL TALE HEART"

For their 4th Poe adaption, Charlton tackled yet another famous and popular one of his stories.  Although the "Famous Tales Of Terror" feature would continue, this wound up being the last Poe story in the comic.

Trans-World Publications did a one-shot based on "The Mysterious Traveller" radio show.  One of the features, oddly enough, was a reprint of "The Tell-Tale Heart" from Charlton's YELLOWJACKET COMICS #6 (Dec'45), making it possibly the 1st reprint of a Poe comic.  Many years later, Charlton did a TALES OF THE MYSTERIOUS TRAVELLER series, which included Steve Ditko among the artists.
